Ingredients
  

  • 1 large Banana Ripe mashed
  • ½ cup Butter Softened
  • ½ cup Brown sugar Packed
  • ¼ cup White sugar
  • 1 large Egg Room temperature
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Chocolate chips Optional
  • ½ cup Chopped walnuts Optional

Instructions
 

  • 1️⃣ Preheat & Prep:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2️⃣ Mash the Banana:
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
  • 3️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients:
  • Add butter, brown sugar, and white sugar to the bowl.
  • Beat with a whisk or hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • 4️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • 5️⃣ Fold in Add-ins (Optional):
  • Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
  • 6️⃣ Scoop & Bake:
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • 7️⃣ Cool & Enjoy:
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

💡 For a vegan version: Substitute the butter with coconut oil and the egg with a flax egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water).

💡 For a gluten-free version: Use 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
